Watch D.O.G.S. is a one-of-a-kind, school-based father/father-figure involvement program that works to support education and safety.

Who Are WATCH D.O.G.S.?

Fathers, grandfathers, step-fathers, uncles, and other father figures who volunteer for one or more full school days, participating in a variety of school and learning activities.

What Are The Goals Of A WATCH D.O.G.S. Program?

  1. To provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important.
  2. To provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying.

How Do I Become A WatchDOG At Prairie Hills?

Attend a mandatory training session at the school on Oct 19th from 7-8pm

or contact us to get more information.

How Do I Sign-Up For My WatchDOG Volunteer Day?

Once you've finished your training, you can create an on-line account, choose a day or several days and sign up.

What Will I Be Doing On My WatchDOG Day?

  • - Welcoming students to the school and supporting safety at morning drop-off.
  • - Work with students in the classrooms on reading, writing, math, and other skills, supporting teachers at every grade level.
  • - Enjoy lunch with your student(s) and help monitor recess and playground time.
  • - Support safety at afternoon pick-up.
